Josh Evans of Afterglow Brewery told me directly to my face during my internship in the University of Richmond Class that Andrew Coplon of Craftbeer Professionals was the leader of a group of people who force businesses to conform to certain ‘social’ standards in Norfolk.
After I attended the Norfolk City Planning Council meeting, that behavior is why I withdrew my offer to purchase a brewery in Norfolk.
After I called out this behavior publicly, Josh Evans of Afterglow Brewery chased after me screaming vulgarities in the Makers’ Brewery parking lot after the University of Richmond Brewers Class ‘graduation ceremony.’ I think he got drunk and lost his mind. I think under some readings of Virginia Law, this behavior could be considered assault. When I reported that to the University of Richmond, they did not care.
We have a problem in Norfolk we need to talk about.
